Lori Loughlin and Mossimo Gianulli spent a little time and a fair amount of cashola closing on a new house this month. The contemporary farmhouse measures nearly 12,000 sq. ft. inside, with six bedrooms and nine baths in all. The couple called it theirs for $9.5 million.
The house was completed last year, making Loughlin and Gianulli the first to call it home. It’s situated in Hidden Hills. Its exterior is a mix of farmhouse/industrial-inspired architecture, with wood cladding to warm up the style.
Inside, the home features stunning evocations of space. There is a foyer with a double-height ceiling—boasting a beautifully simple hardwood staircase as a centerpiece—as well as a long list of top-flight materials which includes the plank maple floors and a great deal of marble. The shared living spaces include a loft-like open-concept kitchen, dayroom and family room; here, two optional glass walls create a massive indoor/outdoor living area.
The living room is a gem if you like this style; its vaulted ceiling is inset with a symmetrical array of skylights, and a marble fireplace accent wall extends from floor to ceiling; glass doors that open the room to the property exterior. The dining room is another standout, with an inlaid hardwood floor and glass doors offering the option of outside dining. Amenities include a wine room, a theater, and a gym.
Outside, the patios and terraces overlook the sparse local landscape. The lot is large enough to accommodate a pool, lawns, and a lounge with a fire feature.
