This month, comedian and television personality Steve Harvey finally put the matter of his estate in Texas to bed. Harvey had been trying to sell the property near Lake Lewisville since at least 2018, when it was offered for sale for $1.245 million. The five-bedroom house was relisted this April with a $1.075 ask, and closed at an undisclosed amount.

The 6,566 square foot, French-inflected house was built in 2003. It features a U-shaped design, a stone exterior, and a dramatically hipped roof.

The home’s interiors begin with the grand foyer one expects to see in a home like this—soaring ceilings, a stone tile floor, and a double staircase. The kitchen boasts custom oak cabinetry, a large center island, and black granite countertops and island cap; the living room features oak plank floors and a rusticated stone fireplace with a raised hearth.

The acreage is substantial—well over three and one-half acres; additional acreage was offered as an option, but it is not known if it was included in the sale. The outdoor recreation area includes a pool, and a pavilion and symposium lounge with a fire pit centerpiece.
