After picking up a $5.5 million new build in Pasadena not long ago, actor Shia LaBeouf is parting ways with his midcentury modern in Sherman Oaks. LaBeouf has owned the 1958-built post and beam home for over a decade, and is selling it for $2.25 million.

The larger lot size—the property measures six-tenths of an acre—will, along with the home’s period style and sensitive renovations, sell this spot in a hurry. The space allows the property substantial room for framing and for establishing a private, indoor/outdoor living style; the landscaping is romantic, with a slightly overgrown look that is particularly lush.

The shared living space features Spanish oak-stained Saltillo, a darker shade that blends well with the glass walls and fold-away glass doors that border the open-concept room. The kitchen features a mix of stainless and hardwood, and is illuminated by a series of narrow clerestories.

The 2,463 square foot house is a three-and-three; the master features a wood-framed fold-away glass wall that opens the room expansively to the mature trees and walkway of the outdoor living area. Marvelous.

LaBeouf starred in 2017’s Borg vs McEnroe. His upcoming films include The Tax Collector and Pieces of a Woman.
