Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban have a new home to go home to in Manhattan. This summer, as reported by the online edition of the UK periodical The Daily Mail, the duo dropped about $5 million on a pied-a-terre in the newly revised Tribeca building 108 Leonard.
108 Leonard, which was completed last year, is a condo development of 152 units. The building dates to 1899, and is considered one of the more significant original structures in the Tribeca neighborhood. Amenities in the building include a wine cellar, cabana lounge, fitness center and spa, lap pool, and rooftop gardens and dining.
The unit selected by Kidman and Urban is reportedly a two-bedroom dwelling. The unit’s total square footage has not been revealed at this time, but an educated guess would place it at around 1,800. The luxury condos feature a mix of old New York apartment tropes—chevron floors, likely in blonde wide plank—and contemporary features including a kitchen decked out with Miele appliances and a wine fridge.
The two-bedroom configuration is set up to heavily favor the master and its bath; no doubt that many units in this building are designed specifically for pied-a-terre usage, with a small en-suite kids’ or guest bedroom and a large master with fine views, a large walk-in closet, and a bath sheathed in marble.
Kidman and Urban may likely not set foot in the place for the next several months, however. Apparently, the duo is riding out the current health crisis at their estate in Australia, their native land.
Kidman starred alongside Charlize Theron and Margot Robbie in 2019’s Bombshell; she played Gretchen Carlson. She’s currently working on television miniseries for HBO, Hulu, and Amazon Prime Video.
Urban has 18 chart-topping country hits to his name. His upcoming album release, titled The Speed of Now Part 1, is slated for release in September.
