NBA player Tristan Thompson put his contemporary farmhouse up for sale this month. The Cleveland Cavaliers center is asking $8.5 million for the property.
Thompson was the first owner of the 2018-built house, according to public records. He purchased it in the spring of 2019, for $6.5 million.
The spec-built house is packed with details, with ornament and material featured prominently in the design. There’s extensive marble in sight; several different varieties are used. The foyer features dark gray and white harlequin-pattern tile floors, a hat tipping to a classic look; the staircase, living room fireplace surround, and waterfall kitchen islands present a few other textures of natural stone. European oak plank is used in much of the shared living spaces.
Amenities in the main home include a wine room, but there’s a 1,580 square-foot guest house on the property. Total accommodations on the property amount to seven bedrooms and eight baths; the nearly half-acre lot is filled out by a pool and patio area with an outdoor kitchen and bar, a lounge with a fire pit, and lawns and privacy landscaping.
