The Malibu Colony waterfront escape of The Young and the Restless and The Bold and the Beautiful co-creator Lee Phillip Bell sold this month. The 1920s-era farmhouse-style was listed by Bell’s estate last April with a $21.5 million asking price, and sold last week for $18.3 million.
The home’s exterior architecture looks the part of the gentleman farmer, but its interiors have been renovated as contemporary and ethereal. The overall white treatment is disrupted only by the occasional appearance of a soft cool tone; the original plank in the kitchen and dayroom has been painted a creamy azure, which also pops up on a set of French doors.
The 3,300 square-footer sits on a lot that features 60 feet of beach frontage. A lagoon-style pool features prominently amid the gardens and brick walkways, with a double swing and a deck offering additional outdoor relaxation options.
Bell’s 90210 compound recently hit the market with a $39 million price.
