Lori Loughlin and Mossimo Giannulli Sell Bel Air Mansion to Tinder Co-Founder Justin Mateen

Last winter, Lori Loughlin—best known for her roles in ‘Full House’ and ‘Fuller House’—and her husband, fashion designer Mossimo Giannulli, put their Bel-Air estate up for sale for $28.7 million. The property wasn’t new to the market at that time under their ownership; three winters before, it was quietly shopped around at $35 million.

Tinder co-founder Justin Mateen liked the house enough to make an acceptable offer for it recently. The number is not yet a matter of public record, but is rumored to be around $18 million, according to Variety.

The couple purchased the 12,000-square-foot Mediterranean-style in 2015 for $14 million, and embarked upon a substantive revision that transformed the living style of the 1929-built Mediterranean-style into an elegant contemporary trophy. Elements of flash occasionally find their way into the design: witness the bar in the entertainment room or salon, a glossy, gold-toned amenity that begs for attention and gets it. The standout space also features a little colonnade, and it opens broadly onto the outdoor living area, where a lap pool protected by a line of privacy hedges and a marble patio await.

Other details of the six-bedrooms, nine-bath house include herringbone-pattern hardwood—a hat-tipping to a classic flourish—and a wood staircase that’s quite lovely. As are the stone tiles used for the great room floor, and the floor-to-ceiling wall of built-in bookcases in the office. The lot extends to .7-acre, and abuts the Bel-Air Country Club.
