Super Bowl alum Drew Bledsoe sold his getaway estate in the Pacific Northwest this spring. It’s apparently been a long road: according to public records, the gifted quarterback has been trying to sell the property for well over five years, and listed it initially at about ten million dollars. When the dust settled, Bledsoe had $5.6 million for his troubles.
A disappointing end to a lengthy narrative, especially in light of the property’s history under Bledsoe’s ownership tenure: he bought the land in 2004 for $750K, and had the nearly 15,000 square foot house custom built.
The property—house and landscaping—employs large quantities of natural stone and timber in its expression of a Northwestern paradise. The house is Craftsman-inspired, and the interiors boast majestic open trussing, a massive stone fireplace, and enough rustic warmth for another Oregon estate or two.
The seven-bed, fourteen-bath house also has a long list of amenities to its credit. Tops on the tally—a basketball half court, and a den. Outside, a turf sport court and a putting green offer warm weather distraction, but the ten acres of land represent the real recreational possibilities: hiking, horseback riding, or just a daily constitutional.
