The Mercedes-AMG E-Class 2021 model revision was revealed this month. For the most part, the changes are confined to the usual token nipping and tucking of body design expected between major model overhauls.

For the E63 S in the next model year, that means a well-defined grille revision. Gone is the winged logo, and in its place is the ever-popular Panamericana grille design with longitudinal lines. The front bumper, air intakes and diffuser have also been redesigned. In the back, newer lights and, on the sedan, a subtle bump of a lip spoiler, make for a more streamlined look.

No changes have been made to the powertrain, according to Mercedes; the AMG 4L V8 biturbo carries over, and continues to deliver its ample 603 horsepower and 627 pound-feet of torque, enough to get the ~5,500-pound cars to 60 in under 3 seconds. The Mercedes 9G-Tronic nine-speed automatic gearbox delivers the goods.

Deliveries are expected late in the year.
