RHBH fixture-come-stalwart Kyle Richards and her husband, real estate broker extraordinaire Mauricio Umansky, have relisted their house in the upper reaches of Bel-Air. According to public records, Richards and Umansky purchased the house in the early days of 2011, and paid just over $3 million for it.
The home was built in 1972. Its interiors measure 6,229 square feet and, like the home’s exterior architecture, they find expression in the traditional. A white picket fence, rose-clustered arbor, and brick walk are a few of the exterior details; as a preamble, they lead to expectations of comfortable familiarity within.
The foyer does lead off the six-bedroom, eight-bath home with an aristocratic trope: a black-and-white harlequin-pattern tile floor. A staircase with hardwood treads, a chandelier, and a double-height ceiling further liberated by a paned clerestory augment the effect, and in the living room a fireplace with a marble surround and a neoclassical mantel plays the same part. The entertainment room deviates, however, taking a detour into rusticity with a hewn stone fireplace, a plank ceiling, and an antler chandelier.
An office, a gym, and a home cinema are among the home’s interior amenities, although the master suite deserves a look. Outside, a putting green gets a chunk of the available lawn; a sports court and a swimming pool help fill out the grounds.
