Donzdorf-based Mercedes tuning specialist Hofele is back with a pinnacle of a ride: they call it the Ultimate HGLS, and from its lamb’s wool over rugs and proprietary chrome-finished ‘Mythos’ wheels, the striking revision of the GLS Series cars is refined and yet flashy, striking the right balance for the urbane driver with an extrovert streak.

Hofele’s work is generally confined to the visual and creature comfort, and as a specialist’s specialist they seem to excel in their niche. Their design sensibility is literate and luxurious; a Hofele-tuned car is invariably sophisticated.

The cosmetic touches included in the HGLS package begin with a two-tone exterior color scheme. Inside the cabin, Hofele uses computer-guided upholstery stitching and perforation for a very precise quilt pattern. Materials used include Napa leather and Alcantara. Understated Hofele badging completes the interior look.
