This villa in Westchester County, New York, might look more at home in Southern California. But its four acres are nestled in Scarsdale, a bedroom community about thirty minutes away from Manhattan.

The 10,000-square-footer is being offered for sale by Mark Bezos. Mark, the younger brother of Amazon founder Jeff, is asking $11 million for the property.

The home has been extensively renovated, but the spirit of its period—it dates to 1905—is still plainly evident in its details; the astonishing roof light that illuminates the staircase is one example, and the added pendant cluster shows the degree of sensitivity involved in the revision.

The house contains six bedrooms and nine baths, but a detached four-and-four of 3,500 square feet that’s also situated on the property should serve as an adequate guest house. Amenities include a games room, a fitness room, a home cinema, a bar with a brick barrel ceiling, a golf simulator, a pool with waterslide, a spa, and a fire pit. The grounds are semi-forested, with broad swaths of lawn.
