This sunny slice of paradise comes by way of current owner Kevin Brown. Brown, who won the 1997 World Series with the Marlins, is asking $7.5 million for the waterfront Gulf Coast cottage.

The setting makes the home a classic Floridian beach cottage, but the three-level home has a fair amount of space to offer: 5,231 square feet, with five bedrooms and six baths throughout. It was built in 1998, and features a lengthy, palm-flanked drive that serves as a remarkable preamble to the living style, considering the smallish lot.

Within, the home boasts cathedral ceilings, warm wood, plank tile floors, and paneled walls. Its amenities include a flashy kitchen and a private elevator, and there is a guest suite with a private entrance within the layout.

The exterior living space begins and ends with 60 feet of Gulf Coast frontage, and a short walk to the beach.

In 1998, Brown signed a seven-year, $105 million contract with the Los Angeles Dodgers, becoming the first $100 million man in baseball.
