Louis Vuitton’s accessory line has a new entry: messenger bag versions of the classic Vuitton travel trunks.

The trunks are the centerpieces of the company’s history, and can be considered the origins of the fashion house’s unique sense of style and romance; the refined, literate whimsy and classic travel-writer inspiration that recalls the golden age of wandering and jazz-age creative exploration.

The soft, personal-sized versions of the Vuitton carry that spirit. Storage includes a large, divided internal section, and the bags feature a leather/chain strap and leather corners for durability. The ten variations on the theme include a broad variety of materials, including demin, crocodile skin, mesh, leather, and canvas.

The Soft Trunks are priced from ~$3,500.
