The Fanning sisters, Dakota and Elle, are asking a shadow under $3 million for this contemporary traditional in the gated Valley Village community of Los Angeles. The siblings have owned the home since 2017.

Presenting a crisply East Coast cottage exterior finished in blazing white with creamy periwinkle shutters and front door, and boasting a blue slate walk to compliment the scheme, the home is undeniably a charmer from the outset.

One might expect the interiors to be open-concept and understated. Essentially so, although there’s a dividing wall that suggests a discrete room layout, and the wide-plank hardwood’s satin finish is a nice change from the expected matte. A few cottagey accents—including blue pattern wallpaper in a Victorian-inspired pattern, a plank ceiling—sneak in to give the style some form.

The master boasts a fireplace—one of at least two in the home—as well as a private balcony overlooking the backyard. A pool, spa, covered patio and BBQ station complete the fair-weather outdoor living amenities.

Dakota Fanning starred in last year’s Once Upon a Time in Hollywood alongside Brad Pitt and Leonardo DiCaprio. Elle Fanning starred in 2014’s Maleficent and its 2019 sequel alongside Angelina Jolie; the films brought in over $1.2 billion at the box office.
