Jodie Foster listed another of her Los Angeles-area properties this spring. You may recall that she put her splendidly executed traditional in Beverly Hills up for sale last winter, asking $15.9 million, and that the home sold in the spring, for a million under ask.
The home listed most recently by the Academy Award-winning actor is a fortress-like amalgam of brick, tile, and stucco that contains four bedrooms and five baths in 4,920 square feet. It is designed around a small central courtyard, a private little nook floored in brick pavers and anchored by an outdoor fireplace. It is already under contract—only a short few days after hitting the open market.
The 2005-built home’s interiors feature beige limestone tile and dark plank hardwood floors, exposed timber, and ornamental arches. Among the rooms, the centerpiece is the great room, which sports a fireplace, a soaring ceiling, and a long, open layout that would make it idea for gatherings; the kitchen is similarly open, and similarly large, with a lengthy L-shaped line of counters and cabinets, and a substantially sized island.
The master suite’s bedroom is cozy, with plentiful natural light in the morning; the bath features a double vanity and a soaking tub. The walk-in closet is more than adequate, with a series of wardrobes and plentiful shelving.
The home’s exterior living spaces include a loggia in the rear. A pool, patio and lawns occupy much of the remainder of the 1/3-acre lot.
