Those who keep up with the romantic iconoclasm of the royal couple will be interested to know that, during their stay in Los Angeles, Harry and Meghan have been hanging their collective hat at a Beverly Hills estate owned by Tyler Perry. The Daily Mail reported the story this week.

The property is nestled in the Post Office neighborhood—although it’s more than a little bit inaccurate to suggest a 25,000 square-foot house could be nestled anywhere at all.

The mansion—a winged design in the contemporary American ‘Tuscan’ style with eight bedrooms and 12 baths—is perched on a 22-acre lot, enough room for abundant privacy required by a couple so ruthlessly sought-out by savage packs of journalists. Perry had the house custom-built in the first decade of the century, after shelling out a rather substantial sum for the land in Coldwater Canyon, and installed a property gate, as well as a heavyweight security system.

The couple is apparently looking for a permanent address in Los Angeles.
