Retired NBA star Peja Stojakovic sold his villa in Sacramento in the final days of April, accepting an offer of $3.455 million on a property which, public records indicate, he purchased in 2016, for $3.125 million.
The house has a great deal of streetside charm. Its prominent recessed entry gives its façade an intensely invitational quality; given a trim in white with blue accents against the terra-cotta stucco, the effect is warm, and does a nice job of evoking an ideal of the Tuscan lifestyle. The accents are picked up in the surrounds for the front yard plantings.
Wrought iron and a nearly flat tiled roof complete a look at the exterior first impression; inside, the rustic Northern Italian feel continues with rough-hewn exposed timber, distressed plank floors, and soft arches; Shaker cabinetry in the kitchen adds complexity to the whole.
Wood-framed sliding glass doors and an open layout in the shared spaces date the five-bedroom, 6,800 square-foot house as a more recent build. The exterior living space offered by such architectural largesse is pleasant enough, and unusually large at over an acre. A tennis court, a pool, spa and pool house, upper floor terraces and balconies, fountains, gardens, and a loggia porch fill out the grounds.
In 2015, NBA All-Star Stojakovic rejoined the Kings as Director of Player Personnel and Development for the organization’s Stockton-based G League team.
