John Legend and Chrissy Teigen’s real estate acquisitions in the spring of this year have not been limited to doubling down on their penthouse ownership in a boutique building in Manhattan’s Nolita district. The couple also picked up a brand new green house in West Hollywood.

According to public records, the duo closed on the house for $5.1 million. The property had been on the market for about four months, and was asking $5.2 million at the time of the sale. The home is currently listed for rent for $26K per month.

The house was built last year, in the modern green style. From the street, the property looks very much the fledgling; the house itself boasts modern lines, a wealth of timber cladding, black accents, large glass panels and doors, and a drive-through and green sections occupying second-floor terrace space.

The kitchen stands apart from the rest of the open-concept shared living space; a very cohesive design, its custom cabinetry and island contrasts beautifully with the wide-plank, natural-toned hardwood floors, and the length of the waterfall island echoes the bank of cabinets, suggesting distance, and great space. Those strong lines stretch to the sliding glass that opens from the kitchen to the patio; nicely done. Continuation, yes, but—more importantly—also a breakfasting option that could easily become a daily ritual.
