Automotive designer and tuner Hofele tendered this Mercedes-AMG E53 Cabrio for consideration at this year’s Geneva show. Even without the red-carpet event to show it off, the little ragtop makes quite an impression.
The two-toned exterior in metallic Royal Peacock Blue is reason enough for curiosity. The color is a particularly lustrous shade of blue. The chrome accents give Hofele’s E53 a sporty look that is nonetheless refined. It’s also a nimble-looking car, and in that way it resembles a British roadster. The turbine-inspired wheels are uncommonly handsome, and augment the car’s cachet and potential as a luxurious tourer.
The engine remains unaltered; the E53 is outfitted with AMG’s 3L six-cylinder biturbo with a 48-volt electric system. Its 429 horsepower and 384 pound-feet of torque can take it to 62 in 4.4 seconds.
Previous entries from the German tuner include a highly individual S-Class.
