It took about six months on the nose, but TV star and fitness guru Lou Ferrigno has sold his pre-WWII cottage in Santa Monica. The home hit the market early last autumn with an asking price of $3.9 million; in March of this year, the price was given a trim to $3.5 million, prompting the recent acceptable offer of $3.25 million, according to the Los Angeles Times.
From the street, the property cuts a very fine figure, expressing home in no uncertain terms: white picket fence, arbor entry, red brick front walk, as well as lawn, lush gardens, plantings, mature trees and a round patio. An unpretentious, cozy abode.
Within, a renovation has brought the home’s period style into balance with contemporary tastes. A white treatment, plank hardwood, and a red brick living room fireplace set the tone as simple, bright and inviting. The garage was converted into a studio.
Ferrigno’s new pad and fitness home base is in Central California. The property surveys Pismo Beach, and is much larger.
