Three years ago to the month, Pittsburgh Steelers alum Lynn Swann picked up this modern-style house in Los Angeles. Swann paid $3.08 million for the property in Hancock Park, a decent chunk ’o change, but that was alright; he’d just been hired on as USC’s Athletics Director.

September of 2019 saw Swann’s resignation from the position—which, by the way, made him an alumnus of USC two times over; he graduated from the institution in 1974. And last month, up for sale went the 2014-build 4,350 square-footer, with a $3.6 million ask. The price was right. It took less than a month for the home to sell for $3.566 million.

The 2014-built house is warm and open, featuring timber accents and industrial flourishes. The focus, however, is on space, and the shared living area is wide open, with optional glass walls blurring the border between interior/exterior living areas, and a common space that is uninterrupted and, at one point, rises to the second-floor ceiling.

The five bedrooms and six baths in the house culminate with a master boasting a gas fireplace, a spa bathroom, and a balcony surveying the backyard. A saltwater pool, full outdoor kitchen, and privacy landscaping complete the living style as private, recreation-ready, and contemporary.
