Action film star Dolph Lundgren put his glassy modern in Hollywood Hills up for sale this month. The Rocky IV actor is asking $4.5 million for the property, a boxy concrete and glass structure that rises imperiously from terra firma, and offers an abundance of fine city views along the way.

The home’s interiors are blazing white, with modern angles and the warming influence of a judicious use of natural-toned hardwood—plank floors, staircase treads, and cabinetry. The main entrance is sequestered to the side of the building, and the foyer is a refreshing change, offering options in a clean layout, without pretention.

The rest of the home opens up in similar manner, with the hardwood in the kitchen really standing out. The dining room and family room—the latter with a gas fireplace—extend to a wall of glass overlooking Los Angeles. Amenities include a media room and a small pool.

Exterior living space is abundant, and includes a series of balconies and terraces throughout the three floors of living area, as well as a small sunlounge by the pool. The roof makes best use of its space and nearly flat design by incorporating a deck.

Lundgren’s big break came playing the foil to Sly’s Rocky in the cold-war boxing flick Rocky IV. He was a Fulbrighter in the 1980s, before becoming a movie star.
