David and Victoria Beckham went house hunting in Miami last year, and wound up liking a condo in the striking Zaha Hadid-designed building One Thousand Museum. The celebrity couple just recently got around to closing. They’re buying into the luxurious high-rise lifestyle at a premium, though, and are spending an estimated $24 million on a full-floor penthouse unit, one of the jewels of the building. The unit’s interiors extend to just over 11,000 square feet of living space.

One Thousand Museum is one of the most exclusive luxury high-rise residential buildings in the city. Amenities are extraordinary, and include a series of health-oriented features that would naturally appeal to the Beckhams—a wellness center with Techno-Gym equipment, a spa, an ‘Aquatic Center’, and a yoga studio.

David Beckham became a co-owner of Inter Miami CF in 2014. The team is the most recent addition to the Major League Soccer franchise. Beckham, a former professional soccer player, will be in Miami on club-related business on a frequent basis. The penthouse unit is a pied-a-terre.

Units in the building are exclusive investment opportunities. Zaha Hadid, a Pritzker Prize-winning architect, passed away in 2016, while working on the building, among other projects. One Thousand Museum was completed last year.
