PGA Tour competitor J.B. Holmes sold his lavish South Florida residence this month, but didn’t wind up with much of a purse when all was said and done. In fact, the five-time PGA Tour winner took a little bit of a hit in the transaction, accepting an offer of $1.825 million on a property he purchased five years ago for $2.05 million. But the sale does put to rest a nagging unresolved business matter in Holmes’ life: he first listed the place in the autumn of 2018.

The five-bed, six-bath Florida Mediterranean-style dates to 2007, and offers 6,325 square feet of interior living space across two floors. The exterior features a grandiose double-door entry that is flanked by columns and crowned by an arch and a stained glass panel.

The interiors feature a muted palette that is generally warm; the architecture gives the living style a nook-and-cranny coziness that fits the antiqued finishes well. Amenities include a home theater, an entertainment room with a wet bar, and a solarium pool room with views of the waterfront location.

Holmes’ recent wins include a victory at the Genesis Open last year.
