Audi’s 2021 RS 7 performance sedan was revealed recently, and it looks to be good news for the buyer demanding an unusually fine power-to-cost ratio.

For the VW Group, the car represents a kind of entry level upper-echelon model. It’s less expensive than the Panamera, but offers the same passenger-friendly usage profile. It packs a 4L biturbo V8 that can deliver up to 591 horsepower and 590 pound-feet of torque, enough to take it to 60 MPH in 3.5 seconds. It is a mild-hybrid model.

The 2021 RS 7 can also boast air suspension with Auto, Comfort and Efficiency modes, and a torque-vectoring rear differential—two top-end performance features, and standard fare on a car that starts at $115K—as well as 10-spoke 21” cast aluminum rims. A sport suspension may be optioned, and so can carbon ceramic brakes, which take the top speed from an electronically limited 155 MPH to 190.

The 2021 RS 7’s cabin features Valcona leather and Nappa trim. The infotainment screen is 10.1”, with a 12.3” instrument cluster rounding out the displays.
