Last autumn, Olympic skier Lindsey Vonn listed her retreat in Vail, asking $6 million. The home was, apparently, put up for sale while Vonn and fiancé—professional hockey player P.K. Subban—focus on custom-building a new residence on the East Coast.
The Vail home’s a beaut, with mixed stone and timber accents augmenting the alpine style outside, and an interior that is expansive, rustic, and very substantial. But it’s no longer alone on the open market, as Vonn recently listed another of her properties for sale.
This time, the home is in Southern California. Vonn is asking $3 million for the contemporary in Sherman Oaks, which mixes modern and Spanish design elements, extends to 4,000 square feet, and contains five bedrooms and five baths.
The house is bright and open, with plentiful glass that includes multiple sets of French doors and clerestory windows. The outdoor living spaces include a balcony off the master bedroom, which overlooks the pool, sunlounge, and patio below.
Vonn retired last year. She took home four World Cup championships during her career.
