Mercedes rolled out the E-Class series for 2021 this month. What’s new for the best-selling lineup?

First off, and perhaps most importantly, a plug-in hybrid E 350 for the U.S. market. The E 350e, as it is called, will be outfitted with the familiar 2L four, but its division of labor that finds the 90 kW motor providing 121 horsepower of the available 315. The car’s 516 pound-feet of torque is substantial and impressive.

Also on the way to U.S. shores is an All-Terrain E-Class wagon. The crossover’s looks and stylish versatility have made it a hit on European roads, and Mercedes hasn’t fiddled with the body language very much for that reason. But, like other E-Class vehicles, it does boast revised front end design elements, as well as front and rear lights that give it a sleeker appeal whether coming or going. And it features AWD and off-road driving modes as standard.

Inside the E-Class cabins, 12.3” infotainment and instrument screens are standard. And the latest version of MBUX comes standard as well.

Look for the 2021 E-Class series in dealerships toward the end of the year.
