Retired MLB player Matt Holliday is selling his Florida estate this week; he accepting an offer on the lavish property, which he purchased in the fall of 2016 for $7 million. Holliday had been trying to sell the house since November of 2018, and the $11 million initial ask from that period had diminished to $9.5 million prior to the home’s transition to pending status.

The contemporary Mediterranean mansion was completed in 2013. It measures 9,154 square feet, and begins with a grand, two-story entrance flanked by a turret. The interiors feature an open-concept shared living space, with white oak plank flooring, ornate contemporary ceilings, and plenty of glass. There are water views from most rooms in the house, and amenities include an entertainment/media room with a wet bar, a wine cellar, an elevator, and a kitchen with La Cornue stove.

The master suite features a revised custom bathroom with a steam shower; it contains one of the seven bedrooms and ten baths in the house. A two-bed, two-bath guest house augments the accommodations, and the grounds boast a monstrous pool and cabana, a spa, a fire pit, and a covered lanai.

Left-fielder Holliday was a World Series champ with the Cardinals in 2011. He retired from professional play in 2019.
