Stock-car racing driver Dale Earnhardt, Jr. listed his home in Key West this winter. Earnhardt is asking $3.7 million for the home.
The house dates to the 1860s, and features many unique features, including a secret observation hatch, and a kitchen designed—by Earnhardt himself, according to listing materials—in the spirit of a pirate galleon.
The house is quite large, measuring some 8,844 square feet, with five bedrooms in its two floors of living space. The exterior living area is landscaped in a jungle-like manner, with lush tropical plantings surrounding a patio, covered dining and lounging area, and an unusually deep pool.
Dale Earnhardt, Jr. won the Daytona 500 twice—in 2004 and 2014—among other achievements. His father, Dale Earnhardt, Sr., was a racing driver as well, and had an illustrious career on the NASCAR circuit.
