Retired professional football player and athletics director Lynn Swann listed this pristine modern style home in Los Angeles this month. Swan is asking $3.595 million for the house, a recent build with a well-defined interior/exterior living style.

The home’s exterior features many modern architectural elements, including long, strident lines, plentiful glass, industrial-inspired balustrades, and wood accents. A streetside look reveals an inviting home, with a clean, contemporary feel.

A look at the interiors reveals a wide-open architectural style that fully confirms the impression given by the home’s exterior. There’s a great deal of wood, a playfully industrial floating staircase, a glass-enclosed double-sided gas fireplace in an accent wall, and two sections of fold-away glass opens up the home to the outdoor living space in the rear.

The upstairs master suite features a bedroom that opens to the large upper-floor terrace with the same generous spirit; it also boasts a fireplace that’s a cozy reprise of the larger one in the shared living space. The terrace surveys the lawn, and the pool, which is incorporated in the home’s architecture; additional exterior living space includes a garden room with a partial roof.

Swann is current Chairman of the President’s Council on Physical Fitness and Sports. In 2006, he made a play for a new position: governor of Pennsylvania.
