WarnerMedia News chairman and President of CNN Jeff Zucker and his wife, Caryn Nathanson, have listed their Manhattan condo for sale for $17.5 million. The Upper East Side property has been owned by the couple since late 2007, when they shelled out $12.3 million to call it home. They recently announced they’ve decided to separate.
The unit is located in the Lenox Hill neighborhood. The building—the Verona—was constructed in 1910, and has always been residential. It is positioned about one block east of Central Park.
The Zuckers’ condo is located on the third floor of the ten-story co-op, and is one of 26 units in all. It contains five bedrooms and five baths, and features original Venetian plaster, lacquer, and hardwood. A major renovation has been conducted, leaving the floors finished black—or nearly so—and walls and ceilings off-white, or in browns; the effect is a moody one.
The kitchen now features a marble waterfall island and commercial-style cabinetry, while the formal dining room is now the more introspective of the condo’s eleven rooms. The library’s original lacquered walls are stunning, but, in the context of the revision, result in perhaps an overwhelmingly dark space.
Zucker has been president of CNN since 2013. He accepted the position at WarnerMedia News last year.
