Late last summer, ‘That ’70s Show’ star Topher Grace listed this midcentury modern style home in Studio City for $2.7 million. The property found a buyer this winter, selling for $2.45 million—a little less than the $2.5 million Grace paid for the home back in 2017.
From the street, the 2,700 square-footer has retained its period feel—it dates to 1954, and still features the layout, the functional embellishments, and the optimistic feel specific to the era’s modern style homes. Revisions include a matte or satin finish for the wide-plank hardwood floors, and updates to the baths that are in keeping with contemporary luxury home buyer expectations.
The shared living area features a kitchen with a great deal of white subway tile, and a family room with sliding glass that opens onto the exterior living area. The four-bedroom, three-bath home sits on a .4-acre lot, enough space for a covered patio, a pool, and a bit of lawn.
Topher Grace’s upcoming roles include a plum part in Jon Stewart’s election year satire Irresistible; the film is due in theaters this spring.
