Actor and producer Mark Wahlberg took a look a car that will soon be calling his garage home: an AMG One hypercar.
Wahlberg is one of 275 customers who got their name on the list to receive—pending surrendering of a few million dollars—an example of the F1-inspired hybrid, the model that has become the embodiment of the performance division of Mercedes-Benz and, arguably, of the brand generally as it moves from ICE to EV emphasis in design and production. The hyper powertrain is expected to produce 1,000 horsepower.
The One, which starts at $2.7 million, first made news back in 2017, when it was revealed in relation to its ongoing R&D narrative, titled Project One. It was sold out in short order, and originally slated to hit the streets at some point this year. The Project One isn’t over yet, though, and deliveries have been put off until next year.
Wahlberg viewed the One at Mercedes’ U.S. headquarters in Atlanta.
