A second home owned by actor Christopher Lloyd popped up for sale on the open market recently—and went into pending status almost as quickly as it appeared.
Just last month, Lloyd’s laid-back beach cottage between Ventura and Carpinteria appeared with a $2.95 million asking price. That home is a 1,000 square foot two bedroom affair with an old-fashioned sense of seaside style—relaxed, cozy, and entirely informal.
The newest house in Lloyd’s portfolio to be put up for sale is this Spanish-style getaway cottage in the hills above Santa Barbara. Views from the property are as lovely as one would expect, with the Harbor and Pacific in the near distance. The .3-acre lot makes the most of the setting with outdoor lounge space with a fire feature, a footpath, raised plant beds, and upper and lower gardens flanking the home.
The stucco home itself is small, but—like the cottage in Ventura—uses its available space well to establish a cozy atmosphere. Details in the 1950-build house include a kitchen with butcher-block countertops and tile, a fireplace with a tile surround, and a vaulted ceiling with exposed timber. The property’s garage has been converted into a small studio.
Three-time Emmy Award-winning actor Lloyd has a starring role in the upcoming feature Welcome to Pine Grove!; the film also stars Ann-Margret and Ellen Burstyn.
