Bentley’s take on a jet-set ski-trip conveyance is an ice-blue Continental GT decked out with special alpine graphics. Designed for ice racing, the one-off model sports a series of cosmetic flourishes and specialized equipment for roughing it Bentley-style across wintry landscapes.
The car was designed and built for the Zell am See race, an annual competition in the Austrian Alps that pits the world’s most audacious ice racers in a cool duel to the…well, if not to the death, at least to the après-race party afterward.
This year’s Zell am See took place in the first couple days of February. The Bentley sports the familiar number 9 airbrushed onto the grille, an homage to a Bentley Blower and its driver, sir Birkin, and a Le Mans race win of 1930. Other embellishments include a custom ski rack—with a set of skis developed by Bentley and Bomber ski—and custom exhaust system, a blacked out fog light assembly, and arches for a width expansion of about six-tenths of an inch.
The car was driven in the Zell am See by British rally driver Catie Munnings.
