The Tennessee mansion of Kristin Cavallari and Jay Cutler is back on the market for another try; its latest asking price is just under $5 million, down from the $7.9 million with which it initially entered the market, under their ownership, back in July of 2018.
The pair already had a new home in greater Nashville in mind at the time, and closed on it less than a month after listing this one. That property ups the acreage but downsizes the home, a best bet for a celebrity duo seeking privacy.
But the estate in question is not exactly a mere house lot; there are nearly nine acres of forested and semi-forested land on which to roam when the spirit deems it necessary and the weather is amenable. And the house, in its way, is nearly as expansive, offering around 20,000 square feet of interior living space, and a design built into a hillside that presents two floors in façade, and three in the rear.
That’s a lot of house, certainly. The interior living style is generally warm and quite relaxed, though, with many of the design elements that spell ‘home’ for Americans present and accounted for: built-ins, fireplaces, rustic timber and stone, a bit of nook-and-cranny coziness, and plenty of space. The kitchen is particularly appealing, with a brick floor, an island that transitions to an L-shaped snack counter, and a cavernous feel that’s nonetheless comfortably intimate.
The exterior of the home mixes a whole passel of Euro country house architectural tropes into its mix, with alpine, manor and villa styles in evidence.
