German tuning shop Brabus has made a name for itself with its ‘Widestar’ series of overbuilt AMG G-Series rides. Their 700 Widestar Mercedes-AMG G63 got a little extra durability recently via Fostla, who wrapped the vehicle in flat black vinyl that’s intended to keep its custom look protected from the rigors of the road.

From there, Brabus’ 700 Widestar treatment begins. The tuning shop tweaked the AMG 4L V8 biturbo to nearly 700 horsepower, and just over 700 lb-ft of torque, a substantial boost on both counts. The SUV also loses an inch of clearance, turning it effectively into an urban ride.

Exterior package components include a wide body kit, with a carbon fiber roof wing, bonnet, and wheel arches. The wheels bring gloss to the picture, as well as a bit of copper coloring. The cabin interior of the G63 sports a Rolls Royce-like starry-sky headliner, which is fabricated with hundreds of LEDs.
