With its move to Canada apparently complete, Ukranian company SHERP is getting its name out there, spreading the word about the Sherp The Ark, a proprietarily designed—and amphibious—all-terrain vehicle that looks immune to any and all obstacles that it might meet in one of its lumbering forays.
Sherp The Ark is essentially a passenger, heavy-duty, and/or home-on-wheels extension of the original Sherp, a massive 4×4 that travels on 63” wheels. Crevasses of over 6’? No trouble. A highway packed with forlorn, post-apocalypse abandoned cars a la your favorite disaster flick? Not to worry.
Sherp The Ark gets its muscle from a 2.4L 4-cylinder Doosan diesel engine, and there are multiple platform options available: an enclosed box for supply, passenger (configurations of up to 21 seats), or camper iterations, a liquid tanker, or a flat load platform for all-business tasks of the heaviest duty. It can haul 213 gallons of fuel, enough for extended expeditions or…(ulp)…desperate escapes.
No word on pricing from Sherp just yet.
