Sebastian Maniscalco Lists Designer Digs in L.A. for $4.5M After Upgrading to $21.5M Spread

With his role in Scorsese’s surefire hit ‘The Irishman’ yielding plenty, Sebastian Maniscalco may well have been looking to trade up house-wise this year. Indeed he was; ’twas Mr. Maniscalco who purchased Gwen Stefani and Gavin Rossdale’s adventurous rock-and-roll fantasy of a home in Beverly Hills last August for twenty-one and one-half mil.

With a new place to hang his hat secured in the summer, the autumn finds the comedian and actor listing his contemporary Mediterranean in Los Angeles for $4.5 million. While the exterior of the home is very conservative in style and color, the interiors blossom a bit, laying the foundation for Maniscalco’s interest in the stylistic bombast of the Stefani/Rossdale residence.

The interiors of both homes are the work of designer Kelly Wearstler. But while Stefani clearly gave Wearstler carte blanche (and, presumably, carte noire) to go wild, Maniscalco’s home-for-sale finds Wearstler in a more circumspect mood. The result is more cohesive, with a definite formal theme. As a whole, the project is perhaps more put-together for that reason. But not as excitingly eccentric.

The home has 4 bedrooms and 5 baths in its 4,100 square feet of interiors. French doors in the kitchen open to the exterior living and dining area, where a pool and spa, and a grill station, await. But the curious will want to confine their tour to the home’s interiors.

Maniscalco played ‘Crazy’ Joe Gallo in ‘The Irishman.’ His upcoming roles include a turn as a 1970s record producer in biopic ‘Spinning Gold,’ which also stars Samuel L. Jackson and Richard Dreyfuss.
