With their bucolic equestrian estate in Woodside, California, unsold at $29.5 million and now off-market, Michelle Pfeiffer and spouse David Kelley have listed a more modest residence on the open market in hopes of a sale this winter. The couple is asking $8.35 million for the house; they picked it up in July 2018 for $7.7 million, according to public records.
Or, more accurately, for the land itself. An expected teardown purchase, the listing photos highlight the panoramic views offered by the promontory location, and do not delve into the interiors of the 1951-built ranch at all.
A single exterior shot reveals a ranch that looks a bit out of place among its flashy neighbors; listing information details the home as a 4-bed, 3-bath on about a third of an acre—one in sore need of a stem-to-stern overhaul. The views survey the territory between Santa Monica Canyon and the Pacific and Catalina. The home’s location in Pac Pal puts it about a mile from the beach, and within easy reach of shopping and a wide variety of top-notch restaurants.
The lot size would accommodate a large custom home. The bones of the existing house, according to the listing description, would support a full remodel, if one is desired. The prime spot in Pacific Palisades gives the property enormous potential in either case, and should sell the home all by itself.
Pfeiffer is currently working on the film ‘French Exit’; the film is shooting at present, and has a TBA release date.
