Aaron Paul listed his home above West Hollywood this week; the actor is looking for a buyer with $2.198 million to take the home off his hands.
Paul has owned the home since 2012, when he tossed down $1.4 million for it. But the screen-star associations of this property don’t end with him. The home’s previous owners include Brad Pitt; an educated guess would be that Mr. Pitt picked it up in the early 1990s, for $600K, before selling it at a small loss before the end of the decade.
The Spanish-style dates to 1931, and features a stucco exterior. From the street, a protected entryway, paned windows and a prominent picture window are visible; a gated front staircase and garage with tiled roof complete the picture of a rustic period L.A. home.
Stucco also features heavily in the interiors. Renovations conducted to the home have been minimal, and even the kitchen and bathrooms show sensitive remodels. Original details include plank flooring, exposed beams, niche shelving, doors, and floor and staircase tile.
The master suite receives a large portion of the upper floor. A sitting area with a series of large glass windows offer solid views of the city, and a large bath with a soaking tub looks every bit the part of a suitably restorative sanctuary. Outdoor spaces make artful use of limited space, working in a terrace and a sheltered living/dining area into a cozy and somewhat inventive layout.
Mr. Paul will appear in the upcoming season of HBO’s hit series ‘Westworld’. This year he reprised his career-making role as Jesse Pinkman in ‘Breaking Bad: El Camino’; the film debuted on Netflix last month.
