Recent Atlanta Hawks acquisition Chandler Parsons sold his contemporary farmhouse in Bel Air after about six months on the market.
Parsons listed the 2016-built home in May of this year with an asking price of $13.5 million; he accepted an offer of $12.35 million for the property this week. He paid $10.9 million for it in August of 2017, during his stint with the Memphis Grizzlies, which came to an end this summer.
The house features a whitewashed masonry exterior. The interiors begin with a great room and an opposed double staircase design, which immediately imbues the living style with an industrial/factory-like feel; the second floor features overlooks with balustrades on three sides.
Chilly fixtures, dark plank hardwood, black steel framed windows, minimalist fireplaces, LED ambient and strip lighting, and fold-away glass walls define the home. The kitchen is white—very white—while the family/entertainment room boasts a wet bar and wine storage, and works a little dark blue and natural-finished hardwood into the whole—a welcome sight in a house that heavily favors the detached, ethereal, and atmospheric.
The 6-bed house is substantially sized, with nearly 12,000 square feet of living space to stretch out in. The lot measures in at seven-tenths of an acre—also substantial, given the value of Bel Air land.
Parsons began his career with the Houston Rockets; one notable game with the team found him setting a record for most 3-pointers scored in a single half. He was traded to Atlanta from Memphis in August.
