This month, former Club MTV dancer and ‘Real Housewife’ Camille Grammer picked up a home in Brentwood Park for an estimated $5.9 million.

The traditional-style, six-bedroom, 5-bath house dates to 1924. The exterior works East Coast design cues into its traditional style. The interiors, on the other hand, put a uniquely warm spin on contemporary tastes.

The 5,463 square footer’s great room features a cathedral ceiling with exposed trusses, a fireplace, and a generally neutral execution, but much of the rest of the house dives into overt warmth. The kitchen is especially inviting, with dark-finished exposed beams set against a white tongue-and-groove ceiling; mustard-yellow trim, a tile backsplash, a farmhouse sink, skylights, and a large butcher-block capped island finish the decidedly urbane twist on cottage style.

Past a butler’s door is the open-concept living and entertaining area, which works in a dayroom and a wet bar, and a set of French doors that open to reveal a patio with hard-installed grille station. Below is a second entertainment space with another wet bar, built-ins, and another set of French doors.

At just over half an acre, the exterior living area is fairly spacious, and manages a pleasingly secluded feel; a lap pool, spa, terraces, patios, and an outdoor fireplace contribute to a convincingly easygoing and extravagant living style when the weather is amenable.
