The estate of Jim Nabors has listed another of the entertainer’s beloved properties in Hawaii for sale. Last winter, Nabors’ retreat outside Honolulu sold for $12 million; that property, comprised of a 1950-built, 6,000 square foot house and a spectacular waterfront lot of half an acre, had been owned by Nabors for 25 years.
Nabors also owned an estate on Maui, and that property—which extends to over 170 acres—was relisted for sale this month at $4.5 million. It’s considerably more secluded than Nabors’ former home on the big island, and more rustic. It lacks the suburban amenities of the Big Island house, instead focusing on a quiet, tropical atmosphere that feels timeless and peaceful.
The main house dates to 1979, and features tropical architecture, with soaring ceilings and a wide-open common area. It’s appealingly plain inside and out, with simple tile, hardwood and fixtures revealing an interior living style that’s down-to-earth. Outbuildings for estate upkeep, offices, and a two-bedroom cottage augment the two-bedroom main house.
Nabors initially listed the home in 2015. Nabors passed away in 2017.
