Comedian Russell Peters Asking $8M in Malibu

It was three years ago this fall that comedian Russell Peters put up his home in Malibu for sale on the open market. Back in October of 2016, the property was asking nearly $12 million. The latest price cut—one of several that have ensued in the intervening years—leaves it at just under $8 million.

The home’s exterior is most notable for its port-cochère, an extravagant flourish which foreshadows things to come. And, indeed, the interiors begin extravagantly: a double-height foyer with an inlaid stone tile floor, a dome ceiling, and an opulent contemporary crystal chandelier begin the proceedings.

The home extends to 10,000 square feet, though, so it has more to say than that. Along the way are dark-finished plank hardwood floors, backlit tray ceilings, an entertainment room with wet bar and a retractable glass wall, a massive, catering-ready kitchen with a dayroom, a fitness room, and a home theater with tiered seating.

The home’s seven bedrooms and ten baths are crowned by a large master bedroom with a fireplace, sitting room, oversize windows, and two sets of French doors opening onto a private terrace. Space outside is extensive, as well: the house sits on a 1.3-acre lot, where a pool and sunlounge and patio living area take in Malibu ocean views, and the lush local landscape.
