Steph Curry Buys $31M Manse in Tech Billionaire Haven Atherton

NBA hero Steph Curry has reportedly purchased a home in Bay Area billionaire’s oasis Atherton this summer. Curry quietly exchanged $31 million for the keys.

The exterior of the home is contemporary; the green design of the estate and the home’s architecture—the work of Arcanum Architecture, which specializes in postmodern and sustainable luxury designs—expresses it as a green villa. A living roof and passive solar indicate the ecological relevance of the design. Kudos, Mr. Curry.

The house never hit the open market, so interior shots are not available. Arcanum’s webpage, however, reveals an architectural sensibility that freely blends urbane rusticity, industrial, modern, farmhouse, and Eastern building and design philosophies.

The purchase comes about six months after the Golden State Warriors player—under contract at $201 million—sold a much more conventional home in nearby Alamo for $6.3 million.
