Kanye West has picked up a ranch in Wyoming. The estate—which extends to over 9,100 acres—will presumably be used as a retreat and recording studio for the musician.
The property is called Monster Lake Ranch. The ‘monster’ in the moniker more than likely refers not to the surface area or depth of either of the two lakes, but to the size of the trout that may be wrested from their waters; the estate has offered guided fishing tours in the past. It also features horseback riding trails and pastureland.
There are 27 bedrooms in all, as well as 19 full baths and three half-baths. There is a total of 2,524 square feet of interior space on the property, but there are numerous structures on the acreage.
At least three of the buildings appear to be residential. There is also a lounge and restaurant, a covered outdoor BBQ pit, barns and stables, and a secluded collection of teepees accompanied by what appears to be a smoking shack. Or another residence.
According to the scuttlebutt, West is engaged in recording his next record at the location.
