‘Shark Tank’ Star Robert Herjavec Asking $6.5M for Sleek Contemporary in Hollywood Hills

A few weeks before this past Christmas, ‘Shark Tank’ shark Robert Herjavec picked up a harbor-view home in the Balboa Peninsula Point community in Newport Beach for $7.95 million. The purchase spurred the listing of another home owned by the pitching expert: in June, Herjavec listed a home in the Hills for sale for $6.995 million.

August finds the modern style’s ask whittled down to $6.495 million. That’s bad news for Herjavec, who—according to public records—purchased the place just over two years ago for $6.7 million.

The 4,500 square footer is nicely situated on a cul-de-sac in Outpost Estates. From the street, it cuts an imposing, fortress-like figure—concrete, a monolithic timber accent for contrast, and not much in the way of glass.

In back, the home opens up beautifully to the .3-acre lot and views of downtown. The master suite—one of five bedrooms and 4.5 baths—is a gem, with one glass wall that reveals the common area, and another taking in views of the property’s foliage and, beyond that, the city; dark hardwood provides a bit of ballast for all the natural light.

The shared living space is quite contemporary, with natural-toned hardwood or concrete floors. It opens generously to a timber deck offering fine views of the city via two fold-away glass walls, and a swimming pool and spa wedged between a hedgerow, the deck, and greater L.A.

Herjavec has been a Shark Tank mainstay since the show was launched in 2009. He founded the Herjavec Group in 2003.
