In the spring of this year, ‘Big Bang Theory’ star Kaley Cuoco listed her Tarzana home for $6.9 million.
The actress purchased the adventurously decorated pad—and, if any house covered in recent memory deserves that antiquated hipster appellation, it’s this one—for $5.5 million, according to public records. The current ask for the place is $4.895 million. It is at least the second price cut levied on the property in the last four months.
While the exterior bears all the architectural elements and flourishes of a modern Spanish-style, the home’s shared spaces are heavily stylized. They begin with a raised, oval-shaped marble foyer and curving staircase that rises to a second-floor gallery embellished with a line of columns. Strikingly patterned wall covering and chilly pendant fixture? Present and accounted for.
The living room and kitchen expand on that initial impression. The former features a marble fireplace, walls dressed in another funky pattern, and a swing chair; a nifty wet bar with wine storage is squirreled away in an alcove. The kitchen is just a wild textural ride.
The home’s six bedrooms and nine baths are more conventionally luxe—for the most part—and culminate in a master with a mirrored wall, a private outdoor terrace, and a bath with a step-up alcove marble soaking tub. Property amenities include a home cinema, and an extravagant outdoor living area with covered dining and kitchen/wet bar.
